{"id":970,"date":"2018-09-08T15:29:54","date_gmt":"2018-09-08T15:29:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aprendeameditar.es\/nuevo\/?p=970"},"modified":"2024-03-01T13:27:32","modified_gmt":"2024-03-01T13:27:32","slug":"traducciones-de-thanissaro-bhikkhu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aprendeameditar.es\/en\/traducciones-de-thanissaro-bhikkhu\/","title":{"rendered":"Books by Th\u0101nissaro Bhikkhu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have just received a shipment of books with English translations of <strong>\u1e6ch\u0101nissaro Bhikkhu<\/strong>, abbot of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.watmetta.org\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Monasterio Metta Forest<\/a>, which generously makes various Buddhist texts available to interested parties free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This time we are dealing with the two volumes that comprise the <strong>Buddhist Monastic Code<\/strong> (Vinaya) the <strong>Itivuttaka<\/strong> (collection of 120 short Suttas) and the complete version of the <strong>Sutta Nip\u0101ta<\/strong>: a group of 72 Suttas (discourses given by the Buddha) that include some of the best known and most esteemed in the Canon, such as the discourse on Loving Kindness (Kara\u1e47\u012bya-Mett\u0101 Sutta), the discourse on Treasures (Ratana Sutta), and the Discourse on Protection (Ma\u1e45gala Sutta).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Translations of the <strong>Ven. \u1e6ch\u0101nissaro<\/strong> are preceded by excellent introductions that provide historical context, clarify doubts regarding interpretations, and address certain terminological issues.
